Communicating for Impact
Case Studies

The Capability Gap

The ability to forge meaningful connections is paramount for both individuals and organisations to grow – but the confidence to build relationships doesn’t come naturally to everyone. Without the practical skills to make the most of networking events, follow up opportunities can be lost.

Engaging deeply with new and existing contacts, asking the right questions, and genuinely listening will not only lead to more confident conversations but developing these skills creates the ability to plan effectively before a client meeting or networking event and follow up adeptly.

Reframing networking as building relationships on a human level and far from ‘selling’ is a key mindset shift for success.

Unforgettable Learning Experiences

Entrances and Exits

Navigating the room
Entering any networking event can be nerve wracking and first impressions count. In this exercise, learners experiment with approaching individuals and groups at a networking event by practicing those first few crucial minutes of conversation to make the best impact.

As your exit can make the difference to being memorable and securing a follow up conversation, the second part of the exercise focuses on how to leave the conversations as learners explore impactful exit strategies.

Breathing and Posture

Laying the foundation for control
Being consciously in control of our posture and breathing is essential if we’re to fully engage with the communication we’re involved with.

Through a series of practical exercises, inspired by the foundational principles of drama training, participants learn how to make specific choices when it comes to posture and breath – directly experiencing the positive impact on their verbal and non-verbal communication, as well as their mindset and attitude.

Forum Theatre

Build confidence in new skills
The epitome of how we help people to defy expectations. Forum Theatre is a highly immersive platform to try new skills and behaviours in a safe, supportive environment.

With real-time, constructive input from peers, we create realistic scenarios which help participants grow in stature and confidence.

Participants emerge from this session ready to create lasting change, with a renewed appreciation of the positive difference they can make.
